The first commandment, based on my 10 Commandments of Great Presenters:

  1. The primacy and recency effects

When you get up to your pitch, you have less than 15 seconds to make an impression.

People remember the first thing you say, that’s the primacy effect. And when you leave, they will remember the last thing you say, that’s the recency effect. Make it count!
