Talking or Communicating?

If you’ve got whatever you’ve developed and you can’t communicate it, you are no closer to the top of your mountain than you were when you developed it.

I have been to multiple pitches and I always say to clients: “Tell me what it is that you’re selling.”

They will say something like: “This matter anti-matter nuclear transformer has got a drill bit, it’s got this, that, and the other thing and it can do amazing things. In fact, it can do it in one one-hundredth of a second”

My response? “Wow. That’s really impressive! But, I have no idea what you are talking about and how does it apply to me?”

We are talking, but we’re not communicating.
